Directly responsible for training and supervision of over 40 personnel in SCUBA and Surface supplied diving, surface and underwater demolition, hyperbaric treatment of diving casualties, hydrographic survey, reconnaissance and diving supervisory skills.

  • Responsible for development and implementation of revised curriculum supporting all Army engineer diver training.
  • Managed operations and coordination for all off site training.
  • Managed training records and scheduling for staff and student personnel.
  • Served additional duty as a liaison between Department of the Army and candidates for screening and processing of 34 application packets resulting in an increase of field strength by 24%.
  • Served as diving supervisor for community service project removing over 8,000 lb. of damaging Hydrilla from Wakulla Springs State Park, FL.
  • Primary explosive transportation and storage specialist for Army.

  • Project manager for three-week hazardous material recovery operation for US Coast Guard in Maine.
  • Project manager for two-dam inspection and spillway mapping missions for the US Army Corps of Engineers, St. Louis district.
  • Performed 9 digital hydrographic survey and mapping missions for Army Transportation Corps.
  • Coordinated and documented shipment of hazardous materials for salvage mission in US Virgin Islands.
  • Developed and conducted training on new underwater cutting system for US Virgin Islands Salvage mission.
  • Researched and developed underwater cutting sets for five units resulting in savings of $32,500.
  • Mission leader for over 25 emergency dive missions and recompression treatments.

May 1993 to Jan 1996: Unit Licensing CoordinatorResponsible for training and testing of soldiers on over 20 pieces of diving specific and unit equipment.

  • Initiated and managed a safe and convenient hazardous materials satellite storage area where none had existed before.
  • Served as Lead Diver training new soldiers on a variety of diving operations.
  • Participated in over 100 diving and medical hyperbaric oxygen treatments.
