Oil Contamination Air Curtain Technology
Oil FenceTM provides a continuous sheet entrained air within the water column to block the progression oil within marshes, channels, lakes, rivers and deep bodies of water. Two diffusers are used to create a main curtain and a secondary curtain with attached oil absorbent boom. The entrained air also raises neutrally buoyant oil contaminants, usually created by chemical dispersants, to the surface for skimming operations.
Oil Fence can provide the following;
ü Block the progression of oil anywhere within the water column
ü Bring chemically altered or neutrally buoyant oil to the surface for containment or collection
ü Absorbs oil sheen or bulk particles of oil that reaches boom perimeter
ü Adsorbs dissolved chemicals or contaminates from reaching beyond the perimeter with the addition of FilterMat tm material on main curtain
